Creative Writing: From China to the World with Love (Essay Sample) Content: From China to the World with LoveIt all begun as dream back when I was a child; the urge to learn and explore the world. I wanted to learn more, get to know what the world abroad looked like. In fact my entire life was driven by the dream the dream that one day I would get to fly out of my home country. While this might seem like an ordinary dream for any other kid out there, understanding mine would mean, beginning from the very start. From where it all started. You see I was born third among five kids, to a typical African family. My dad plied his trade as a teacher until his retirement. It is upon his upbringing and guidance that I turned out to be the man I am today. My mother on the other hand was a nurse up until a retirement a few years ago.So to flyabroad would mean a great deal of sacrifice for my parents; a sacrifice that fueled my ambition and pursuit of a better life out there. Several opportunities would arise during the course of my stay in China, but on e stood out above the rest. To this day, I consider my salvation as one of the greatest gifts from the China. Walking and working in the streets of Guangzhou was a lifetime experience, however, encountering the Supreme was a completely new story all together. While I cannot sum up all the details of my experiences in China into a single paper, I can only summarize the depth of my life as well as the encounter with had with God.My life before departing for China primarily involved partying, drinking and the normal wayward life of the world. My stay in China for two years, was entirely by the Grace of God, an insight that I can now appreciate in retrospection. From my encounters on the very fir st day in China to the day of departure, I believe my steps and path had along been directed to bring me to this very moment. As I type away this story on my computer am I dully reminded of the sufficiency of Gods grace, as Apostle Paul would have said: Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV). The decision to fly to China had partly been influenced by the promise of employment opportunities, but more crucially by my inner desire to explore and learn about the world. Little did I know that it was the Gods plan to get me into the path of evangelism. As my life and hustle in China got complicated and unpredictable, it began to dawn on me that, one thing was predominantly absent in my life.It is around this time that I began to delve into the tr ied and tested life manual: The Bible. While my goal was to find answers to some of the issues that I was facing, the good book did more than transform my life. It is important for my generation to realize the importance and crucial nature of the journey that it takes to achieve success sand trues salvation. It is for this very reason that I established a cl...
